Max Romano (El Narigón)

Italy

I was born in Naples, Italy and there in the heart of my city, passion, inventiveness and a pinch of craziness grew within me. Engaged in Italy and abroad,as TDJ, I propose traditional music from the much loved orchestras of the Argentine tango’s Golden Age which span the spectrum of emotions. Listening carefully to the energy on the dance floor, I create my own vibe, allowing each tango, every night, to become the basis of a story interpreted in a new and unique way. Because this, for me, is Tango: that magical moment when dreams of the heart take flight!

Baki Vertiola

Germany

Baki Vertiola is one of the best known Tango DJs in Munich and South Germany - happy to have him with us as a local hero. As soon as Baki started DJing, he experienced the joy of catching the atmosphere of a moment and share it with those present. It has been his passion from that day on, to enchant dancers with these incomparable moods that only tango is able to create. Baki is looking forward to grant deep insights into his passion with his beautiful music.

Helena Strbac

North Macedonia

Helena from Skopje/ Northern Macedonia, is a dynamic and passionate Tango DJ who loves to make people move. Her style combines traditional Argentine rhythms with modern twists, making sure to add uplifting and dance inviting cortinas. Beside DJing, Helena Shtrbac gives Tango classes in Evolution Dance Kosovo in Prishtina.

Chris Peake

California

While also passionate about traditional tango music, he absolutely enjoys the challenge of finding new danceable and mind-opening alternative music. he helped establish and co-host Sacramento’s monthly La AlterNativa 50/50 milonga, being it’s primary DJ for 10 years. Coming full circle, he then became a regular in the DJ lineup at Cellspace. Since moving to Santa Barbara, he was co-host and DJ of Magnetica alt milonga in Sacramento. He DJs regularly in LA and San Diego.

Jana Frank

Slovenia

Janja Frank is a member of the vibrant tango community of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She comes up with a broad experience in terms of tango as she is also hosting the famous Ljubljana Tango Festival. Janja’s approach as Tango DJ is to create: Vibrations in the air, pleasant vital energy, support for dancers to indulge in a loving flow of music that leads to attractive encounters - with themselves.

Manuel Frantz

Switzerland

Having started with tango and as a DJ in Munich in 2014, Manuel has been living in Bern, Switzerland since 2020, after almost 2 years in Berlin. When selecting music, he values the big orchestras of the golden 30s to 50s. Important aspects for him as a DJ are also best sound as well as heart and eye for the lyrics in tango. He was resident DJ of the Milonga Popular (Berlin), as guest DJ he has played on hundreds of milongas all over Europe as well as on marathons and festivals among others in Germany, Austria, Greece, in Switzerland and Ukraine, in Russia and Korea. In 2018 he prevailed against more than 50 competitors in the jury decision of the first Play2play@Remolino DJ competition.

Jürgen Krebes

Germany

In 1989 he met by chance the Argentine tango and he was spontaneously enthusiastic. Until today, this enthusiasm does not let him go. As a tango dancer, teacher and DJ he is still passionate in Tango Argentino. In Munich he is tango teacher and organizer of many legendary tango events, the famous Open Air Tango at the Praterinsel, 13 years the legendary Milonga on Friday at La Tierrita, Tango at Onstage Munich, Art Babel Tango and five Marathons & Tangoweekends in Munich. As a tango DJ he has experienced all the currents and fashions of the last 30 years. As an organizer, he promoted and supported live music early on. That is why recordings of contemporary orchestras are particularly important to him. As well as recordings from the 40's and 50's.

Ramo & Go-Go
